Increase Your Adsense Earnings

Already an existing Adsense publisher or learned it to join Adsense publisher, fighting to make $100 a day and meeting the target of monthly threshold, following ideas will resolve the problem to earn monthly 5 figure income with Google AdSense.

First Idea – Insert 468 x 60 banner above the fold which mean it is the part of a web page where people sees it(do not have to scroll down) when the visitor just landed on the page. After placing Google Adsense ad above the fold, it tells that click through rate will be more rather than any other ads in website. Suppose you have placed an banner of Google ad at the bottom of your website, this will get very low clicks because people have to scroll down at the bottom to click it. According to “Google Heat Map” people clicks more on ads which are more visible to them as they have just landed into the page.

Second Idea – Write new content every day about new things or pick up any click bank product relating to your subject and make some good quality content to earn more not only from Google Adsense but also from affiliate commission. How to do that?, Very simple visit clickbank.com and pick up any related product of yours. Remember to write every day new content in your blog or website, because Google loves fresh content.

Third Idea – Bring more back links to your website or blog so Google finds out that your website or blog is good for their users. Again How to do that?, Simply submit new fresh article into article directories like Ezinearticles, Goarticle, About.com and so on provide an back link to your website/blog. What does this mean that more back links more page rank of your website/blog and more loves from Google to your website/blog. The final destination is that do whatever but make sure your people/customer/audience is happy which Google also loves it.

Fourth Idea – Comment at least to 5 active blogs and 5 active forums. Commenting does not mean that you have to just write anything and give back links to website/blog, you have to participate with the blogs/forum according to your market. Do it everyday after posting new content to your site/blog, this lets you to create more back links to your website/blog and increase more page rank.

Fifth Idea – Ping and social bookmark your new post every day, some sites gives you free facility to ping and social bookmark your website/blog but there are 1000 of social bookmark. 2 Social bookmark tool sites lets you to do bookmark to all bookmark sites and saves your time with it. For pinging your site visit at Pingler.com and for social bookmark visit at SocialMarker.com and OnlyWire.com

Last Idea – Earn more from Google Adsense, sometimes when people clicks to a Google Adsense ad you get paid $1.50 or more, how does it works. When you pick up a niche market grab the highest price product and write new content about it daily into your website/blog. What happens is that the product is expensive and who ever gives ads on Google Adsense they start bidding from $1 to $2 which means whoever clicks ad from your website/blog you get paid around $1.25 per click. Assume that 100 clicks 100$ per day.

This all above steps is possible if you understand about Google Adsense properly and understand to create a blog or website. Some people understand by reading the article and some understand from special gurus, so I recommend you to learn it from blogging to bank, get clear idea about how to make 5 figure income from blog.

Adsense Tricks

Since its creation, Google Adsense has presented a new and easy opportunity for many webmasters to earn money from their sites. There are many webmasters who make a living from Adsense alone, but there are also many who spend a lot of time trying to figure out the magic Google Adsense trick to earn more from their ads. Finding these Google Adsense tricks might seem difficult but it is definitely not impossible.

Just placing Adsense code on your site is not enough if you are looking at Adsense as your only source of income. One of the most important Google Adsense tricks is to experiment with a lot of different ad formats, placement and choice of keywords.

Whatever topic your site deals with, you should take care to build pages around this specific topic and include your keywords in the content as many times as possible without it becoming redundant. This is perhaps the best Google Adsense trick to ensure that the ads placed on your page, are relevant and useful to the visitors wanting to know more on the topic, and these visitors will eventually end up clicking the Adsense ad.

You should also take care when placing your Adsense ads. If you read through Google help on Adsense, you will find many tested Google Adsense tricks one of which is the heat maps suggesting the best locations for your adverts. It is a proven fact that, one place the visitors look first on the site is the top left position. Since this is the place that will have the visitor’s attention, it definitely helps to place your Adsense ads there.

Another great Google Adsense trick is to place the ads on high traffic pages. You will be able to identify the most visited pages on your site by looking at the logs or even your Google Analytics account, which provides you page by page details of visitors.

You should also use the Adsense formats to make sure your Adsense ads blend with your web pages. Google provides you different palettes to try font colors, backgrounds and borders. There is no point in placing an ad on the page which does not blend with your site and will effectively not be clicked by any visitor.

Another important Google Adsense trick that is often ignored by most webmasters is the Adsense preview tool. Google provides an excellent tool to help you preview the ads that appear on your page. This tool allows you to see the sample ads and formats, preview colors on your page, check the destination of the ads and even see how people in other countries will see your ads.

Besides using the above Google Adsense tricks, it is also important to have a definite focus on what you want to achieve. No matter how busy you are, you should always spare some time to experiment with the Adsense ads to improve the CTR. Whatever experts say, just following the basics, is really the magic of making more from Adsense.

28 Ways To Make Money With a Website

There are several lists with “ways to make money with a website” on the Internet, but none of them seem to be complete. That is why I decided to create this one. If you know a method that is not listed below, just let us know and we’ll update it.

waystomakemoneywebsite.jpg

Notice that ways to make money with a website are different from ways to make more money from it. Methods to increase your traffic or click-through rate will help you make more money, but they do not represent a method of making money per se.

For example, one could suggest that blending AdSense ads with the content is a way to make money from a website. In reality it’s not; it’s just a way to make more money by improving your ad click-through rate. The real monetization method behind it is a PPC ad network.

The list is divided into direct and indirect methods, and examples and links are provided for each point. Enjoy!

Direct Methods

1. PPC Advertising Networks

Google AdSense is the most popular option under this category, but there are also others. Basically you need to sign up with the network and paste some code snippets on your website. The network will then serve contextual ads (either text or images) relevant to your website, and you will earn a certain amount of money for every click.

The profitability of PPC advertising depends on the general traffic levels of the website and, most importantly, on the click-through rate (CTR) and cost per click (CPC). The CTR depends on the design of the website. Ads placed abode the fold or blended with content, for instance, tend to get higher CTRs. The CPC, on the other hand, depends on the nice of the website. Mortgages, financial products and college education are examples of profitable niches (clicks worth a couple of dollars are not rare), while tech-related topics tend to receive a smaller CPC (sometimes as low as a couple of cents per click).

The source of the traffic can also affect the overall CTR rate. Organic traffic (the one that comes from search engines) tends to perform well because these visitors were already looking for something, and they tend to click on ads more often. Social media traffic, on the other hand, presents terribly low CTRs because these visitors are tech-savvy and they just ignore ads.

List of popular CPC advertising networks:

2. CPM Advertising Networks

CPM advertising networks behave pretty much as PPC networks, except that you get paid according to the number of impressions (i.e., page views) that the ads displayed on your site will generate. CPM stands for Cost per Mille, and it refers to the cost for 1,000 impressions.

A blog that generates 100,000 page views monthly displaying an advertising banner with a $1 CPM, therefore, will earn $100 monthly.

CPM rates vary with the network, the position of the ad and the format. The better the network, the higher the CPM rate (because they have access to more advertisers). The closer you put the ad to the top of the page, the higher the CPM. The bigger the format (in terms of pixels), the higher the CPM.

You can get as low as $0,10 and as high as $10 per 1,000 impressions (more in some special cases). CPM advertising tends to work well on websites with a high page views per visitor ratio (e.g., online forums, magazines and so on).

List of popular CPM advertising networks:

3. Direct Banner Advertising

Selling your own advertising space is one of the most lucrative monetization methods. First and foremost because it enables you to cut out the middleman commissions and to determine your own rates. The most popular banner formats on the web are the 728×90 leaderboard, the 120×600 skyscraper, the 300×250 rectangle and the 125×125 button.

The downside of direct banner advertising is that you need to have a big audience to get qualified advertisers, and you will need to spend time managing the sales process, the banners and the payments.

Related links:

4. Text Link Ads

After Google declared that sites selling text links without the nofollow tag would be penalized, this monetization method became less popular.

Many website owners are still using text links to monetize their sites, though, some using the nofollow tag and some not.

The advantage of this method is that it is not intrusive. One can sell text links directly through his website or use specialized networks like Text-Link-Ads and Text-Link-Brokers to automate the process.

Text link marketplaces and networks:

5. Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is a very popular practice on the Internet. Under this system you have a merchant that is willing to let other people (the affiliates) sell directly or indirectly its products and services, in exchange for a commission. Sometimes this type of advertising is also called CPA (cost per action) or CPL (cost per lead) based.

Affiliates can send potential customers to the merchant using several tools, from banners to text links and product reviews.

In order to find suitable affiliate programs you can turn to individual companies and publishers like Dreamhost and SEOBook, or join affiliate marketplaces and networks.

List of popular affiliate marketplaces and networks:

6. Monetization Widgets

The latest trend on the web are widgets that let you monetize your website. Examples include Widgetbucks and SmartLinks. Some of these services operate under a PPC scheme, others behave like text link ads, others yet leverage affiliate links.

Their main differentiator, however, is the fact that they work as web widgets, making it easier for the user to plug and play the service on its website.

List of companies that provide monetization widgets:

7. Sponsored Reviews

PayPerPost pioneered this model, with much controversy on the beginning (related to the fact that they did not require disclosure on paid posts). Soon other companies followed, most notably Sponsored Reviews and ReviewMe, refining the process and expanding the paid blogging model.

Joining one of these sponsored reviews marketplaces will give you the opportunity to write sponsored posts on a wide range of topics. Not all bloggers are willing to get paid to write about a specific product or website (because it might compromise the editorial credibility), but the ones who do are making good money out of it.

If your blog has a big audience you could also offer sponsored reviews directly, cutting off the commissions of the middleman.

List of sponsored reviews and paid blogging networks:

8. RSS Feed Ads

With the quick adoption of the RSS technology by millions of Internet users, website owners are starting to find ways to monetize this new content distribution channel.

Feedburber already has its own publisher network, and you can sign-up to start displaying CPM based advertising on your feed footer. Bidvertiser recently introduced a RSS feed ad option as well, with a PPC scheme.

Finally, some blogs are also opting to sell banners or sponsored messages on their feed directly. John Chow and Marketing Pilgrim are two examples.

Related links:

9. Sponsors for Single Columns or Events

If you website has specific columns or events (e.g., a weekly podcast, an interview series, a monthly survey, a special project) you could find companies to sponsor them individually.

This method increases the monetization options for website owner, while giving advertisers the possibility to target a more specific audience and with a reduced commitment.

Mashable illustrates the case well. They have several advertising options on the site, including the possibility to sponsor specific columns and articles, including the “Daily Poll” and the “Web 2.0 Invites.”

Problogger also runs group writing projects occasionally, and before proceeding he publicly announce the project asking for sponsors.

10.Premium Content

Some websites and blogs give away part of their content for free, and charge for access to the premium content and exclusive tools.

SEOMoz is a good example. They have a very popular blog that gives advice and information on wide range of SEO related topics. On top of that visitors can decide to become premium members. It costs $48 monthly and it grants them access to guides, tools and other exclusive material.

11. Private Forums

While the Internet is populated with free forums, there is also the possibility to create a private one where members need to pay a single or recurring fee to join.

SEO Blackhat
charges $100 monthly from its members, and they have thousands of them. Obviously in order to charge such a price for a forum membership you need to provide real value for the members (e.g., secret techniques, tools, and so on).

Performancing also launched a private forum recently, focused on the networking aspect. It is called The Hive, and the monthly cost is $10.

These are just two examples. There are many possibilities to create a private and profitable forum, you just need to find an appealing angle that will make it worth for the members.

List of popular forum software:

12. Job Boards

All the popular blogs are trying to leverage job boards to make some extra income. Guy Kawasaki, ReadWriteWeb, Problogger… you name it.

Needless to say that in order to create an active and profitable job board you need first to have a blog focused on a specific niche, and a decent amount traffic.

The advantage of this method is that it is passive. Once you have the structure in place, the job listings will come naturally, and you can charge anywhere from $10 up to $100 for each.

List of popular job board software:

13. Marketplaces

Sitepoint is the online marketplace by excellence. Some websites and blogs, however, are trying to replicate that model on a smaller scale.

Depending on your niche, a market place that allows your visitors to buy, sell and trade products could work well. Over the time you could start charging a small fee for new product listings.

The problem with this method is that there are no standard software on the web, so you would need to hire a coder to get a marketplace integrated into your website.

You can see an example of a marketplaces being used on EasyWordpress and on Mashable.

14. Paid Surveys and Polls

There are services that will pay you money to run a small survey or poll on your website. The most popular one is called Vizu Answers.

Basically you need to sign up with them, and select the kind of polls that you want to run your site. Most of these services operate under a CPM model.

15. Selling or Renting Internal Pages

Million Dollar Wiki made this concept popular, but it was being used on the web for a long time around (check Pagerank10.co.uk for instance).

These websites sell for a single fee or rent for a recurring fee internal pages on their domain. Usually they have either high Pagerak or high traffic, so that people purchasing a page will be able to benefit in some way.

Implementing this method on a small blog would be difficult, but the concept is interesting and could be explored further.

16. Highlighted Posts from Sponsors

Techmeme probably pioneered this idea, but somehow it has not spread to other websites. The tech news aggregator displays editorial posts on the left column, and on the sidebar they have a section titled “Techmeme Sponsor Posts.”

On that section posts from the blog of the advertisers get highlighted, sending qualified traffic their way. Considering that the monthly cost for one spot is $5000 and that they have around 6 sponsors at any given time, it must be working well.

17. Donations

Placing a “Donate” link or button on a website can be an efficient way to earn money, especially if your blog is on a niche where readers learn and gain value from your content.

Personal development and productivity blogs, for instance, tend to perform well with donation based systems (one good example being Steve Pavlina).

A small variation of this method appeared sometime ago with the Buy Me a Beer plugin. This WordPress plugin enables you to insert a customized message at the bottom of each article, asking the readers to chip in for a beer or coffee.

18. In-text Adverting

In-text adverting networks like Kontera and Vibrant Media will place sponsored links inside your text. These links come with a double underline to differentiate them from normal links, and once the user rolls the mouse over the link the advertising will pop. Should the user click on it the site owner will make some money.

Some people make good money with this method, but others refrain from using it due to its intrusiveness. It is also interesting to note that very few mainstream websites have experimented with in-text advertising.

19. Pop-ups and Pop-unders

Pop-ups are a common yet annoying form of advertising on the Internet. If you are just trying to make a much money as possible from your website, you could experiment with them.

If you are trying to grow the traffic and generate loyal visitors, however, you probably should stay away from them. Just consider the hundreds of pop-up blockers out there: there is a reason why they are so popular.

Ad networks that use pop-ups:

20. Audio Ads

Also called PPP (Pay Per Play), this advertising method was introduce by Net Audio Ads. the concept is pretty simple: play a small audio advertising (usually 5 seconds) every time a visitor enters into your website. The user should not be able to stop it, creating a 100% conversion rate based on unique visitors.

The company is still rolling tests, but some users are reporting to get from a $4 to a $6 CPM. Regardless of the pay rate, though, this is a very intrusive form of advertising, so think twice before using it.

21. Selling the Website

Selling your website could be your last resource, but it has the potential to generate a big sum of money in a short period of time.

Market places on online forums like DigitalPoint and Sitepoint are always active with website buyers and sellers. Keep in mind that they most used parameter to determine the value of a website is the monthly revenue that it generates, multiplied by a certain number (the multiplier can be anything from 5 to 30, depending on the expectations of the seller, on the quality of the site, on the niche and other factors).

Some people also make money trading and flipping websites. They either create them from scratch or buy existing ones, and after some revamping they sell them for a profit.

Indirect Methods

22. Selling an Ebook

Perhaps one of the oldest money making strategies on the web, using a website to promote a related ebook is a very efficient way to generate revenue.

You could either structure the website around the book itself, like SEOBook.com, or launch the ebook based on the success of the website, like FreelanceSwitch did we the book How to be a Rockstar Freelancer.

Related links:

23. Selling a Hardcover Book

Many authors and journalists leverage their blogs or websites to sell copies of hardcover books. Examples include Guy Kawasaki, Seth Godin and Malcolm Gladwell.

While most of these people were already renowned authors before they created their website, one could also follow the other way around. Lorelle VanFossen did exactly that with her Blogging Tips book. First she built her authority on the subject via her blog, and afterwards she published the book.

List of self publishing and publishing services:

24. Selling Templates or WordPress Themes

As more and more people decide to get an online presence, website templates and WordPress themes become hotter and hotter.

On this segment you have mainstream websites like TemplateMonster, as well as individual designers who decide to promote and sell their work independently.

Brian Gardner and Unique Blog Designs are two examples of websites that make money with the sales of premium and custom WordPress themes.

25. Offering Consulting and Related Services

Depending on your niche, you could make money by offering consulting and related services. If you are also the author of your blog, the articles and information that you will share will build your profile and possibly certify your expertise on that niche, making it easier to gain customers.

Chris Garrett used a similar strategy. First he created a highly influential blog on the blogging and new media niche, and afterwards he started offering consulting services to clients with related problems and needs.

26. Creating an Email List or Newsletter

Email lists and newsletters represent one of the most powerful marketing and money making tools on the Internet. They offer incredible conversion rates, and the possibility to call people to action in a very efficient way.

Creating a big list is a difficult task though, so if you have a popular website you could leverage it to increase the number of subscribers on your list.

Yaro Starak is a famous Internet marketer, and if you visit his blog you will notice that right on top he has a section encouraging visitors to subscribe to his email newsletter. Yaro generates five figures in revenues each month from his email newsletters, proving that this method works.

List of software to manage email newsletters:

27. Mentoring programs

People are willing to pay for someone or something that will teach them and give them knowledge (as opposed to mere information). Education is one of the biggest industries in the world, and the online landscape behaves in a similar way.

Creating a mentoring program related to the niche of your website could be very profitable if you manage to structure and promote it adequately. There is a wide range of media and tools that you can use to deliver the information, from text articles to audio and video lessons.

Brian Clark leveraged the success of Copyblogger to launch a mentoring program teaching people how to build membership and how to sell content online. The program is titled Teaching Sells, and it costs $97 monthly. Sounds expensive, but they have over 1,000 members.

28. Creating a conference around the website

If your website takes off and becomes an authority on its niche, you could create a conference around it. Depending on the size of your audience, the event could attract thousands of people, and you could make money directly from conference passes and sponsors.

Search Engine Land, for instance, created a series of conferences that visit several cities on the United States and on other countries as well. The conferences are called Search Marketing Expo, and the tickets and passes cost thousands of dollars.

Is it as Easy as it Seems to Make Money with Google AdSense?

Google AdSense is the Google program where you can host pay-per-click ads on your Website. When someone clicks an ad, you earn money. Simple as that.

Is it really as easy to make money with Google AdSense as many would lead you to believe? Now that I’ve become heavily involved with managing Google AdSense programs for my clients, I can see it’s not all play and no work.

Unfortunately, a lot of people bought into the idea that there was a lot of easy money to be made and they are now finding out they aren’t making nearly as much as they thought they would. Additionally, Google has a lot of prohibited practices when it comes to AdSense, and too many Webmasters are finding out they violated Google’s policies after the fact – often because they never bothered to read the AdSense policies in the first place.

Webmasters must not only comply with AdSense policies, but their Websites must also comply with Google’s webmaster policies.

Prerequisites for Making Money with AdSense

To make money with Google AdSense you need plenty of traffic coming in to your site or there won’t be anyone to click the ads. Website promotion techniques, especially search engine optimization and article marketing will bring more traffic to your site. You also need to have content that will attract the ads with the highest Pay Per Click (PPC) rate that are relevant to that content. Then, you need to lay out your web pages so the ads blend in with your site. Studies have revealed that people who visit sites that contain ads that use colors that are not in harmony with the actual Web site tend to develop “ad blindness”. Meaning no matter how much traffic comes into your site, chances are no one will click the ads because they’ll be ignoring them. If no one clicks, you make nothing.

Dealing with Competitors’ Advertisements

If you offer products or services on your Website, the first thing you’ll notice when you begin hosting PPC ads is that many of the ads are coming from your competitors. Therefore, you’ll want to put ads on pages that aren’t earning you any money, or do like I did and not put ads on your site until you’re so busy anyway you’d rather make a few dollars off of your competitors than to continue turning business away with nothing to show for it.

Google AdSense allows you to specify up to 200 URLs for sites you want to bar from placing ads on your pages. The problem is that most times you won’t know the competitors are out there until their ads appear.

Starting a Blog For Profit

Blogging for profit is quite a popular home working idea. It is easy to start up and should not cost you too much. In fact, a basic system can be set-up for no cost at all, but that is not recommended for the best income. A little bit of thought beforehand can be an aid, so here are some basic pointers to help you to get going and earning an income.

Set Up Your Blog

First, you need to set your blog up. You can use one of the free services such as Blogger or WordPress, but if your blog is using one of these names then don’t expect to as much profit as you otherwise could do. Plus, with the lack of control over the site you might have some earning opportunities ruled out.

So if you do want to use Blogger, also buy your own website name and follow the instructions to use that for your blog. But better still, buy yourself a small amount of hosting space (look for PHP with MySQL available), download the latest version of WordPress and install it. There are plenty of instructions in WordPress and your hosts will provide more.

Themes To Look Good

To get the site looking good, take a look around at the thousands of ready made WordPress themes and choose one that you like. But don’t use one because you have seen it used elsewhere – you want your site to look good, but not the same as too many others.

Get Writing

Once the blog is set-up you then need to start writing. At first, whilst you are keen, write at least a post a day. If you can manage more, maybe store them as drafts for when you lose your initial rush.

This gets your site some content, but to start earning you also need traffic and popularity. These do come hand in hand to a degree, so start working on the popularity first.

Make Your Site Popular

For this, start rewriting some of your posts and submitting them to article directories and submitting them as guest posts on blogs. These will all link back to you and this builds your search engine ranking and the number of links into your site. Advertisers will pay a lot more for being on your blog if you have more links in.

This increasing popularity in the search engines along with writing plenty of new content will help you to start seeing the start of you search engine traffic. If you are writing plentifully and submitting to article sites often enough, then this process won’t actually take too long. There are other more advanced techniques to use, but these are good to get you going.

Start Earning

Now you are ready to start earning an income. You can sign up for and add some Google AdWords units to your website. These will earn you an income every time someone clicks on an advert. You can also promote affiliate sites, mentioning products and linking to them.

But probably the easiest way to earn, once you have a Page Rank and plenty of links in, is through being paid for posts on your website. There are a few quality schemes to sign up for, try a few out and you could be earning $5, $10 or even $50 per post of only 200-300 words!

Blogging For Profit – 3 Ways to Blog Yourself to Profits

There are many ways you can be blogging for profit, and in this article, you will be introduced to 3 different ways you can blog yourself to profits with or without your own blog. After reading this article, you should be able to go out there, and start up a blog, and begin your journey to profits.

Product Reviews:

If you have a personal blog, then you could do product reviews of things that you actually use.

This could be things like; hair products, electronics, movies, video games, etc. However, you wouldn’t want to keep it to a theme. So if it is going to be about hair products, then keep it in that general area of beauty products, or something along those lines.

This way you will be able to cater to your audience better. That does not mean you cannot have multiple sites for all of your interests, the more the better actually.

Postings Ads:

A lot of people will create a “hobby” blog that talks about a specific topic. However, they normally don’t do a lot of product reviews, so to make money from that blog the best thing they can do is have a section of the site that is for ads that cater to the visitors of the site.

This means, if the site is about model cars; then they can have ads to other websites that pertain to model cars. You would price these ads depending on the amount of traffic you are getting.

You would start off with for every 1000 people a month you get to the site, each ad block would be worth around the $10/month mark.

Make sure you do not have too many ad blocks though; 1 across the top, and maybe 6 – 8 along the right side.

Just let people know who do advertise that it is for a set period of time, let’s say 3 – 6 months, and then once that time period is up, you can check how much more traffic you are getting, and charge them accordingly.

Being Paid To post:

This can be done 1 of 2 different ways:

1. You can have your own site, and people pay you to post on your blog about their site, or product.

2. Another way is; you get paid to post blog posts, and comments on their blog, etc. Basically giving them content to their site.

Now that you have read this article, you understand 3 different blogging for profit ways that you can make money at; Product review website, posting paid ads on your blog, and being paid to create blog posts on your site, or someone else’s site.

How to Make Blogging For Profit Work?

Blogging is a very interesting thing to do. You get to express your thoughts and your feelings about certain topics. You get to share your sentiments with your friends and with other people who are interested. But not all who write blogs write just for the pleasure of it. Others are blogging for profit.

Blogging for profit requires more than just blogging for pleasure. In order for you to earn and maintain it, you need to exert extra effort. If you are interested in blogging for profit, here are some tips that can help you.

1. Choose the blog platform that you are going to use. You can choose among the many different blog platforms available or you can buy your own domain. If you are a new blogger, using a hosted blog will be easier to manage. You need not know the technical aspects of blogging in order for you to setup and maintain one. Usually, creating one involves just a few clicks. Design templates are even available so you just choose whatever you think will look good on your site. Unfortunately, you can also be limited by these made-easy-for-you-steps. You cannot exercise much creativity since you will only be allowed to do a few tweaking. If you have your own domain you will be able to do more manipulations in your blog to suit your needs perfectly. Others also believe that self-hosting looks more professional so you attract more advertisers.

2. Decide on a niche topic. This is the specific topic that you will carry in your blog. Niche blogging is good if you want to have a loyal audience. If you have varying topics in your blog, you will not be able to hold a certain group of people who will go back to your site regularly so you generate less traffic. Less traffic usually means less income.

3. Write interesting entries about your topic so people will go back to your site. If you write boring stuff, people will get tired of it.

4. Be patient with regards to your profit. Do not expect to earn big money early in the game. You need to build a good reputation first with your audience and with advertisers as well before you can expect money to come pouring in.

Blogging for profit is an interesting way to earn money. If you love what you do and you follow these suggestions, you’ll soon be on your way to making big bucks.

Blog For Profit on the Internet – An Introduction

So, what is a blog, anyways?

Well…a blog is a contraction of the words “web” and “blog”, and thus the word “blog”.

A blog is a website consisting of entries, called blog posts, which are found on the main or home page of the site, usually in reverse chronological sequence. A blog post may contain content that is informative, controversial, instructional, inspirational… you name it and you will find it on the Internet.

And today, businesses are using blogs as a marketing tool to promote their products and services. In fact, having your own blog opens up a number of opportunities for you to profit, financially, from the Internet.

Widgets, plug-ins and themes are used to customize your blog and make them look and work the way you want. Features such as comments and links increase user interactivity and help create a buzz on the Internet about your blog – and that is a good thing! And all that can be accomplished by using software that is fairly easy to use by people with little technical background, and more importantly, it is free!

So, how do we start blogging for profit on the Internet?

  1. If you do not have a desktop PC or notebook, you should pick one up in order to explore the fascinating world of the Internet, and to build your online, money making blog site.
  2. You need a game plan. More specifically, you need to think about what you are going to blog about, and how it relates to the products or services you are selling online. If you have no idea about blog content, you will need to do some niche research.
  3. You need to buy a domain name and get a web hosting account.
  4. Load the blogging software from your hosting account, apply a theme, configure it, and blog away!
  5. Monetize your blog site, tweak it to maximize traffic, and apply other methods to increase targeted traffic to your site.

Yes, I zipped through the steps, however, this is just an overview. In future articles, I will expand on each of the steps, and explain in more detail what each step entails.

SEO Blogging For Profit

Profit Is Important, But…
Yes, profit is quite important for your business, but you’ll note many top companies in the online world had to invest not months, but years into making their businesses work. The big example is Amazon, now one of the hottest retailers online; well, at first they were losing money! Now they’re making money. So what were they doing before? Why were they losing money? You build trust and get customers by offering low prices online. Once you get the golden repeat customer, once someone buys from you once a month instead of once every few years, your business is going strong. This is brand loyalty; it takes time to work. SEO blogging is for profit in many ways, but you’ll likely make little in the first year. However, you can build your brand and retain customers. You will also get new customers.

New Customers:
SEO blogging is all about informing first and then leading to a sale. People go to blogs for info, sometimes pictures, sometimes to buy but not always. If you post a dozen articles on some business angle, say “How to Save Money on Taxes” and then you offer, later, a $10 report on how to do this legally, bingo, you might get new customers. But notice: you first informed and then you sold.

On the Cheap:
SEO blogging is quite a reasonable way to advertise. Often you can do this yourself. This isn’t SEO copywriting in terms of difficulty, but sometimes you may want to hire an expert. However, even hiring a professional blogger won’t cost too much. The blog will also be simpler, easier to maintain, and a constant source of new customers.

Not Too Hard:
It’s simple what you do here. Start a blog. Post at least twice a week. Then start directing readers to your main site to sell something or sell something directly on your blog. That’s all there is to it. You won’t always make millions, but often the simplest strategies work the best.

Can Be Fun:
Blogging can be quite fun too! Often blogs are more personal than your main site (your business website selling products/services or informing). You can say “I” a lot more on a blog, because it’s expected. You can technically talk about what you want, share exciting news about your business.

There are few wrong ways to blog, unless you spell every word wrong or write 10 page letters. Keep it short and simple.

Sell More, Earn More, Grow:
With SEO blogging you do get the opportunity to sell more over time, earn perhaps higher prices for your products/services than before, and since blogging is a growing medium your company will also grow right along with the blog. It’s exciting to do, and simple in application.

3 Easy Steps to Blogging For Profit – Micro Niche Blogs

Micro niche blogs are all the rage these in the internet marketing world these days. Successful blogs sell for great prices on site flipping marketplaces, but I am going to show you how to start blogging for profit using the micro niche techniques. This process involves 3 steps:

1. Keyword Research. Use a free tool such as Google Keyword Tool and type up some keywords on the niche you would like to go for. This can be a physical product or a ClickBank product kind of niche, Find long tail keywords (3-7 words) that get at least 1000 product name searches or more per month. Make sure to select phrase search option rather than the default broad search. When you phrase search your keyword in Google by putting it in double quotes, there should be less than 25-30.000 competing sites coming up in the results. It is possible to get rankings for higher competition keywords, but as beginners we want to pick the low hanging fruit. There should also be plenty of AdSense ads displaying when you search this keyword, this means there is money in it. After deciding on your main keyword, pick a few more keywords related to this niche.

2. Domain registration and blog setup. Buy a domain consisting of your long tail keyword, Go for as.com domain since those rank the best. If that is not available,.net or.org is acceptable but.com is what you should go after. If it’s not available for your main keyword, then consider a synonym keyword (matching our monthly search, competition and profits criteria) or one of your secondary keywords.

Do not get an.info domain, they are very affordable but it’s extremely difficult to get them ranked in search engines. Since we are blogging for profit, we want to get the domain we can rank rather fast, Next step is to get a hosting service such as Hostgator. Do not use free blogs, these get deleted and shut down all the time, and your profits will vanish overnight.

If you are serious about blogging for profit, then get your own domain and hosting to avoid the frustration later. Once you get these squared, download the all in one SEO plugin and other WordPress plugins useful for affiliate marketing, Amazon and eBay marketing purposes. Pick a simple free theme for the start the blog. You can always purchase a premium theme later on. if you are going mostly for AdSense, I recommend using the free version of Heatmap theme since it makes it extremely easy to set up AdSense ads on your blog.

3. Content generation and monetization. Write a few 300-400 word articles for your main keyword and at least one article for each one of your secondary keywords. Make sure the content is unique and provides value to the customer. Make sure to watch out for the keyword density and do not mention your keyword more than 2-3 times in the article body. Set up your WordPress to schedule posting these articles weekly or couple times a week. Ping and social bookmark it each time new content is posted. Write shorter, watered down versions of your articles and regularly submit those to article directories.

Set up a Google AdSense account and get AdSense codes to post on your site. Then go on Amazon & eBay and set up an affiliate accounts there. If you are promoting ClickBank or other e-products, get an affiliate code for those as well. You can set up affiliate accounts for most major product vendors for digital or physical products. A good strategy is to add the multiple link AdSense ads and the large Amazon recommended products widget to your site. However, take care not to stuff it too much with AdSense, we don’t want have more ads than content.

After you complete this steps, the next thing to do is to promote your site in the blogosphere, social media, article directories and free classifieds sites.
